The Northern Morocco Archive is an independent historical documentation and research initiative founded upon the private archival collections and scholarly legacy of the late historian and genealogist Taher ben Abdessalam El Lhioui.
The project is dedicated to preserving historical manuscripts, documenting the history of Northern Morocco, investigating the life and legacy of Sharif Moulay Ahmed El Raisuni, and making valuable historical materials accessible to researchers and readers worldwide.
Through transcription, critical examination, translation, and digital publication, the archive seeks to establish a lasting bridge between Morocco's documentary heritage and international historical scholarship.

This archive represents years of personal dedication to the preservation of historical knowledge. Developed independently and without institutional or financial support, the project draws upon the private family collection, rare manuscripts, genealogical records, and historical documents left by my late father, Taher ben Abdessalam El Lhioui.
His scholarly work inspired me to continue documenting this heritage and to make its historical value accessible beyond geographical and linguistic boundaries.
The task involves more than digitizing old pages. It requires careful reading of handwritten manuscripts, transcription of historical records, examination of oral accounts, and responsible interpretation of documentary evidence.
I dedicate this work to the memory of my father, whose intellectual legacy continues to guide my efforts to preserve the history of Northern Morocco for future generations.

Comparing archival descriptions, historical maps, oral testimony, and geographical evidence to investigate sites associated with the military campaigns and historical events of Northern Morocco.
Ⅲ. Documentary Research into El Raisuni's Final Days
Examining historical accounts concerning the final days and death of Sharif Moulay Ahmed El Raisuni through critical comparison of available sources, without presupposing conclusions that the evidence has yet to establish.
