- And Allah, the Exalted, said:
-
- {And your movement among those who prostrate}
- Explanation translation: Meaning, among the believers. And based on this, the meaning is: My turning about, and your being watched, turning about in the loins and wombs of the believers from the prophets of Allah, Adam, to his father Abdullah. So his origins were all believers, and Allah knows best about His unseen and His rulings.
It was narrated that Hisham bin Muhammad al-Kalbi, on the authority of his father, said: I was told: No marriage of the Jahiliyyah (Pre-Islamic period of ignorance) or anything from it reached me, except that I found it to be through lawful marriage, not through the prostitution of the Jahiliyyah.
And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I was born from a lawful marriage and not from the prostitution of the Jahiliyyah".
And on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah created the creation, and He made me in the best of their groups and the best of their two groups; then He chose the tribes, and He made me in the best tribe; then He chose the families, and He made me in the best of their families; so I am the best of them in person and the best of them in lineage".
And on the authority of Wathilah bin al-Asqa', may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah chose Kinanah from the children of Ismail, and He chose Quraysh from Kinanah, and He chose Banu Hashim from Quraysh, and He chose me from Banu Hashim".
And in Sahih al-Bukhari, on the authority of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I was sent from the best generations of the Children of Adam, generation after generation, until the generation in which I was".
And in Sahih Muslim, on the authority of Wathilah bin al-Asqa', may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah chose Ismail from the children of Ibrahim, and He chose Kinanah from the children of Ismail, and He chose Quraysh from Kinanah, and He chose Banu Hashim from Quraysh, and He chose me from Banu Hashim".
And on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both: Between Adnan and Ismail are 30 fathers.
And on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: When the genealogy reached Adnan, it stopped and said: The genealogists lie. And on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him: He used to say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever attributes [my lineage] to Adnan has lied, and he did not exceed it". And on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say: "What is between me and Adnan? Two or three [generations], then he would withhold and say: The genealogists lie".
And it was narrated that Ibn Dihyah gathered the scholars and consensus that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, traced his lineage up to Adnan and did not exceed it.
And on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both: Between Adnan and Ismail 30 generations.
And on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: Between Adnan and Ismail are 30 generations. And he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not trace his lineage beyond Adnan, and he would hold back if he exceeded it, or two or three times. And on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both: He used to trace his lineage up to Adnan and not exceed it.

The Noble Prophetic House in Two Stages (The First: The House of Makkah before the Migration)
To sum up, the Prophetic House in Makkah before the migration:
And the Almighty said: {And your movement among those who prostrate}, meaning among the believers, and based on this, the meaning is: My turning about, and your being watched, turning about in the loins and wombs of the believers from the prophets of Allah, Adam, to his father Abdullah. So his origins were all believers, and Allah knows best about His unseen and His rulings.
And on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah be honored, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I emerged from a lawful marriage and not from the prostitution of the Jahiliyyah, from Adam until I was born to my father and mother; and nothing of the prostitution of the Jahiliyyah touched me".
And on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, never met his parents except in a lawful marriage, and nothing of the Jahiliyyah prostitution ever touched him.
And on the authority of Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I was not met except in pure wombs and pure lineages, down to the pure loins and noble wombs. I was never met in the prostitution of the Jahiliyyah, nor in anything from the affairs of the Jahiliyyah".
And on the authority of Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, read: {Qul inna ma ana basharun mithlukum} (Say: I am only a man like you), and said: "I have not ceased to be transferred from the pure loins".
And on the authority of Allah's Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "Verily, Allah created the creation and made me in the best of their groups. Then He divided the tribes and made me in the best of their tribes. Then He chose the families and made me in the best of their families. So I am the best of them in person and the best of them in lineage".
And on the authority of Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Verily, Allah created the creation, and He chose the Arabs. Then He chose from the Arabs, then He chose from Banu Adam, then He chose the best from Banu Adam, then He chose the best of them from the best of Banu Adam, and I am the best of the best of Banu Adam, and the best of the Arabs, so the Arabs love me with love for me, and whoever hates the Arabs hates them".
