​Support from Moulay Abdelhafid for the Jihad Movement

​Sharif Al-Raissouni moved to the Ribat of Dar Al-Shawi, where he received a message of thanks and appreciation from Moulay Abdelhafid in support of his jihad efforts. This honorarium included luxurious royal tents, five horses from the elite royal war-horses, as well as clothing and saddles. Among the tents was the famous "Afarg" tent, known among royalty. Moulay Abdelhafid also sent a group of fighters led by Ahmed, who was under the command of the leader Mohamed Al-Roudani.

​On July 15, 1913, the Battle of Sas Bou-Ouda erupted, being no less fierce than the Battle of Al-Talal.
